High winning bid for 17-storey Clarion

THE 17-storey Clarion hotel in Limerick, the tallest hotel in the country, has been bought for more than €7.5m by a property fund launched by an Austrian investor, Thomas Roeggla.

Roeggla’s Strategic Capital Investment Fund, which is managed by Davy, has also paid about €4.5m for the Diamond Coast hotel in Enniscrone, Co Sligo. Both hotels are being sold for far in excess of their guide prices, reflecting strong demand for hotel assets.
